So, it turns out that there is more emerging evidence that “low fat” is not the final word on healthy diets. In fact, low fat diets INCREASE mortality. The rule remains, “Moderation in all things, including moderation”.
This large observational study supports the emerging conclusion that saturated fat does not cause cardiovascular disease!!!
The current working conclusion is that the true culprit is systemic inflammation. Furthermore,increases in dietary carbs had a more significantly negative impact on blood lipids than fats did.
